The national printing press and Office (ONIP) has won a trophy in the Beninese Quality Award. This is the Golden Incentive Award following a competition organized by the Beninese Agency for Standardization and Quality Management (ABeNOR) on behalf of 2016 which took part twelve companies.
After confirmation of its certification ISO 9001 version 2008 in the month of July, the National Office of Printing and Media (ONIP) has to show he actually deserved that certification. He received a trophy, the Golden Incentive Award in the category B of level 1 quality Benin Price (PBQ). This award was won following the evaluation of auditors dispatched by the National Coordination of the Technical Committee of the quality system of the West African Economic and Monetary Union on September 2. But to get there, ONIP made way.
Indeed, concerned about the continuous improvement of operating services provided to its customers, the ONIP committed in 2014 in the quality approach with the support of Isosud Bureau. This office specializes in international standards ISO has been selected to accompany the office with ISO 9001 version 2008. Its mission is the establishment of a Quality Management System (QMS) complies with the requirements of the standard and obtaining the certificate. The scope of the certificate includes the writing and publication of the newspaper the Nation, the work of printing. Thus, several actions were taken.
In the month of June 2014 already, the various stages of the mission were studied with their operationalization in order to drive out and in a better time. Thus, a diagnostic audit of the office was made and allowed the Bureau Isosud finger work organization in ONIP, identify strengths, weaknesses and areas for improvement after traveling all services and talk with all the staff. An audit diagnosis helped identify the organization set up in the office and identify the quality management of material deficiencies.

Implementation tools
After the awareness of all staff on the approach that has been committed, the drafting of a process manual describing all the quality management system of ONIP, the implementation process manual with a plan Action quality and appointment of quality managers and process managers, the system is launched. Also various coaching and process management were they developed and implemented tools. And many of these tools, there are job descriptions, job descriptions, evaluation sheets for all agents, continuous improvement records, the training plan, the grid of competence, not to mention mission statements and dashboards to measure the indicators defined in each process.
Under the patronage of Isosud Bureau, the first audit of internal quality has been achieved on all processes nearly a year after more precisely 27 May 2015. Following this audit, some failures were recorded at certain processes, corrective actions proposed by the auditors have been implemented without delay and integrated quality action plan.
the internal quality audit monitoring the management review have led to stepped certification audit from 16 to 19 June 2015. the auditor Vincent Rouch dispatched by Dekra cabinet passed all the process for and found as the quality of the system office is complete, documented, communicated and implemented. However, some minor shortcomings were identified and solutions for improvement have been taken into account automatically. Taking into account the commitment of senior management to continue ONIP's transformation efforts and sustain the company, the auditor Vincent Rouch proposed to the certification body, the ISO 9001 version of ONIP on all activities hence the certification of the office. This certification will be confirmed a year later during the surveillance audit took place in the month of July.
