Where do I begin?! First I have to start off by thanking every single person that supported this event. This was a tremendous leap of faith for me and anyone that has planned an event before knows that it is not easy to do. After seeing so many beautiful women in attendance, however, I knew that it was all worth it and that Curvy Cocktails was a Los Angeles event that finally brought plus size women together to enjoy one another. There were over 200 people in attendance! For a first time event, I could never have imagined such an overwhelming response but that just goes to show that this event was needed. I had such an amazing time laughing, dancing and taking pictures with all of you. Thank you to our sponsors Fashion to Figure,Gwynnie Bee, Chic & Curvy, and Smash Shoes for making this happen! Here’s a quick recap of the event.
Here I am, the hostess with the mostest rocking one of Curvy Cocktail’s sponsors, Fashion to Figure. This dress can be found here.
If you were in attendance, you know that this party was a family affair. My mom, sister and friends all got shirts made that had “TrendyCurvy” on them with the next word being who they are to me. My friends often joke that they are “TrendyCurvy & Co.” lol. They were a huge help and the best support I could ask for.
Aren’t my parents cute?
And then there is my love, the one and only Steve Suavemente who worked with me every step of the way to make this a success.
We were so fortunate to have Nina Parker be a part of the event! She is making her way through the Hollywood entertainment scene and we could not be more happy for her.
We also had a special appearance from Goo Goo Atkins, celebrity stylist and TV personality, looking chic as always!
We had a henna artist doing custom designs for the party…
we had cotton candy and dancing…lots of dancing! As you can see, Candice was the life of the party!
All of the ladies in attendance showed up and showed out! Just look at how amazing everyone looked.

Lastly, thank you to our caterers Yummy Creations for the amazing food!
Until the next one Los Angeles!
