The national football team of Moldova ranks 173rd in the FIFA world rankings released on October 21. This is the worst position in the history of the team, IPN reports.

Among Moldova’s opponents in Group D, Wales has the best position – 11th. Austria ranks 30th, Ireland 33rd, Serbia 43rd, while Georgia 122nd.
