Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev received Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Rayimberdi Duyshenbiev, the Kyrgyz President's press office reports.
During the meeting the Head of state was informed about the work being done to strengthen and further development of the Armed Forces, including the measures taken to improve the system of organization of interaction of state bodies ensuring defense.
President Atambayev stressed that the concern and care for military personnel, modernization and re-equipment of the Armed Forces are one of the main priorities of the state. "Therefore, military leaders soldiers of the country themselves must also work actively to improve military discipline, purifying their ranks, and eradicate corruption in the Armed Forces," said the head of state.
The President also noted the need for early completion of work on the creation of an effective Armed Forces, that can adequately respond to modern challenges and threats.
