Update: 5:50PM THE Labasa Zone 2 athletics meet ended on a high note with a total of 39 gold medals for the girls division and 38 for the boys.
Match manager Elia Waqarau said the competition was tough among the six primary schools in the town area.
"The competition is also getting tougher by the year and we're glad that our children are improving their athletics skills," he said.
"From this meet, we will choose our players for the Cakaudrove Bua Macuata Chow Games in Subrail Park next month."
